I mentioned on a sailing forum that i frequent, that i was selling the Jedda and replace it with a boat which i could keep at home, and possibly build something.
Well as it turns out, a mate has offered me a Miracle dinghy. Two conditions:
- I go to his place and get it (which is about 3 hrs away)...pfft, i like road trips :)
- I have to teach my kids to sail it...that'll happen!!
Apparently, it's ready to sail...but could use a little TLC first
Looks a brilliant little boat, capable of quite high performance sailing, and also family cruising - with the gunwale seating at the rear, and "in the cockpit" seats toward the front to keep the little-ones in the boat (and the addition of a little electric OB to get you home if need be)
And here it is...
LOA 12' 9.5"
Beam 5' 2.5"
Looks like i've got a phone call to make at lunch time... :)
... Stay tuned!!
I'm still planning to build the Pathfinder, but might delay it a year or so...
that Mirror is NICE looking! I am very jealous.
ReplyDeleteHopefully after i've got and fixed up mine, it looks somewhere near that nice :)
